I love coming here to get my kbbq fix! It's cheaper than most kbbq places on convoy and I don't have to deal with the stress of parking on convoy. I usually get the A2 for $29.99 per person! There's so much to choose from but I typically just eat the brisket and other non marinated meats. The bonchon was solid and the salad was great! Portion sizes were good too! I went on a Tuesday evening for dinner and there was no wait.

I know people are going to think I'm a monster but I don't like kbbq. I don't enjoy cooking meat and getting burned by the oil splatter, or overindulging bc I'm tempted by AYCE, or having to try to flag someone down all the time to change grills or get more banchan. Most of all, I hate that I smell like a burnt mess after. Rant over, onto the experience.. We got there around 4pm which was an early enough time where the place was pretty empty. But once 5pm rolled around, it started getting packed!! Our server had awfully good memory, memorized our orders perfectly for a giant table of 13. We got all our meats in a very timely manner (none of that overdelayed food, and everyone gets way too full cuz we're just waiting around). We really enjoyed the beef tongue, brisket and jamulsoo? Boneless short rib. Squid was horrible, tasted like it had been bathing in the sea for a little too long! They did so many grill changes for us. And always came back to help us order more meat (at their own initiative). I really liked their menu too: they had some side options...corn cheese, soondubu, steamed egg, veggies, gyozas. Everyone was extremely full afterwards. Bathrooms are placed in a weird spot right behind the registers. It gets congested bc it is literally a small hallway behind the host desk/cashiers

We found Manna Heaven BBQ on Mira Mesa Blvd. Prior to our visit, I remember a colleague mentioned that it's one of the best Korean BBQ spots in San Diego. Even on a Sunday afternoon, there was a bit of a wait, which is usually a good sign. There's plenty of parking in the open lot. We waited about 15-20 minutes, but once we were seated, I was impressed to see the amount of side dishes, or banchan. The veggies came in big bowls and the spinach and bean sprouts were super fresh and crispy. The stir-fried fish cakes were a highlight too; big, moist pieces, unlike the small, dry ones you often get elsewhere. I also liked the sweet mashed potatoes. But the main draw was the variety of meats. They were served in large portions and the host said we could even order up to 20 servings at once. The beef and pork belly were my favorites and the hot sauce with soy sauce, salt, and olive oil was perfect for flavoring the meat. Plus, the prices were pretty reasonable. This place is definitely a gem for Korean BBQ cravings.

Pros: AYCE which is always a plus. Steamed egg, green onion salad, Hawaiian pork belly and bulgogi were all solid. We got the A2 menu which had plenty, including galbi strips. Cons: loooong waits--while this was expected I do wish they implement a Yelp waitlist so we know roughly what we're in for and can put ourselves on the list ahead of time instead of standing around outside in the sun. There was also quite a time delay between ordering and getting our dishes, and we had to remind our server a couple times despite the restaurant being pretty empty at the time. Overall I can see why it's a popular chain. It's nothing that blows your mind, but pretty good for the price and quality.

We came on a Saturday at 12:00pm with 7 people. Sign in on tablet. We were seated within 5 minutes. Decided to do the A2 menu ($29.99) and was not disappointed. Pretty. Much ordered every meat on the menu. Our favorites were the Galbi, Teriyaki Chadol and Rosemary Butter Pork Steak. Bonchon at beginning was delicious also. Service was fantastic. They came around quite often for us to order more food. They also changed our cooking plate 3 times (super awesome). FYI: 6 or more, they add 18% gratuity. There is a 2 hour time limit. If you are in a booth, there is a Service Button to call your server. We will definitely be back. Great food and experience. Thank you!

I was visiting a few friends in San Diego and was craving some AYCE KBBQ and stumbled upon this place. When deciding between the premium and regular menu, we concluded that the meat selection on the premium list was worth the extra $6 pp and decided to try that menu. The meat selection in the premium options was well worth the extra money! The ones that stood out were the pork jowl, deungshim steak, goutsal, and beef tongue. We also tried out other meats from the regular menu as well and they were very standard. The staff here is also attentive and friendly. Overall, a great KBBQ place with great service for a solid price; definitely would come back if I visit San Diego.

I came here for lunch because the Kearny Mesa (KM) location has been temporarily closed. The service was prompt and friendly. Ordering more food was easy and it came relatively quickly. This is my children's favorite KBBQ restaurant. They love the meat cuts and all the extra side dishes that this restaurant carries. Fav meats: LA galbi (bone in), and jumooluk boneless short rib. Specifically this visit, the rice paper was so moist and soft. Fried rice was not the sticky rice we're used to at KM location. Corn cheese was excellent. Kimchi, beansprouts were perfect. It is well lit inside and they play k-pop. There are several large TV screens with TV programs playing also.
